Why Pay Per Clicks Matters

Capturing "High-Intent" Traffic
The biggest difference between Google and social media is intent.

  • Social Media: You’re "interrupting" someone while they look at vacation photos.

  • Google Search: You’re answering someone who is actively typing, "emergency plumber near me" or "best boutique coffee roaster."

Small businesses matter most when they solve a specific problem. Google Ads ensures you appear at the exact millisecond that problem exists.

Hyperlocal Dominance
For small businesses, "reach" is useless if it's too broad. Google’s Hyperlocal Targeting has become incredibly precise.

  • The 2026 Edge: Google now deeply integrates your Google Business Profile into ads. This means your local reviews, photos, and even real-time "open" status appear directly in search results.

  • Actionable Fact: 76% of "near me" mobile searches result in a visit or phone call within 24 hours.

Google Ads Can Be Overwhelming

Google Ads can become overwhelming when first starting out.

In addition to costing extra with your daily budget. You need to decide how you want to track your data. Which is most important because you want to know if your assets and keywords meet target audiences search potential.

If you are a service based company then leads like calls or filling out a contact form are perfect for a start to end conversion. If you want sales then a "thank you" purchase page will be perfect with specific monetization conversion.

Google Ad Campaign Type

If you are new to Google Ads then I would recommend "Search" since Performance Max is great for the largest outreach but also the most expensive. In the campaign types you will see the Youtube icon and that means you will need a video in your assets because you do not Google to create your video based on photos (it looks bad)

With all campaigns you will need to watch your keywords and negative keywords.

For example if you are a hotel in NYC. One of your keywords might be Cheap Hotels NYC or Last Minute Hotel Reservation. After a week or 2, Google Ads AI will add new keywords to your assets and you might get "Holiday Inn Newark NJ or Luxury Spa Resort Hotel NYC" Which are not part of your keywords but Google will attempt to predict new keywords. In doing so, you will have to add both Newark and Spa keywords to your negative keywords or you will be charged for each click and risk running out your budget with wasted clicks not on your target audience.

You may not have time to watch your negative keywords everyday or forget about it because out of sight, out of mind. Either way, we can monitor your negative keywords or just help you setup your Google Ad Campaigns. We are glad to help if you have quick questions. Feel free to use the contact form
